Evaluation: Major Greven overcame severe adjustment problems stemming from the death of his parents to become a formidable Altered. However, his service record is a study in contradictions. Major Greven has as many reprimands as commendations. At any given moment, he as close to being washed out as he is to being made a general. He is a natural leader who refuses to leave a squad crowded with Altereds. He has endless patience during the most daunting missions, but a volcanic temper almost everywhere else. The only officer who has any control over him, Colonel Heron, spends as much time battling him as they do our enemies. Major Greven has caused no end of debate among the members of Joint Command. Ultimately, it was determined that Major Greven was too valuable an asset to rein in or wash out. He is fearless in the field with a lightning fast mind to match his reflexes. His specialty of using opponent’ strength against them is becoming a standard to be taught in Advanced training. The remaining concern is over his closeness and loyalty to Colonel Heron and the secrets he holds from his time in the other dimension. It is certain that Joint Command would lose him if it ever moved against Heron.
